Maritime Summers Fall Giveaway — Official Rules

1. organizer and contest period

The Maritime Summers Fall Giveaway is organized by Maritime Summers, operating as Maritime Summers, at 57 Elizabeth Parkway, Rothesay, NB (“Organizer”).

The contest begins on October 15th, 2026 at 12pm Eastern Time and ends on November 1, 2026, at 10 a.m. Eastern Time (“Contest Period”).

2. eligibility

The contest is open to residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory at the time of entry.

The Organizer’s employees, representatives and anyone involved in administering the contest, together with their immediate family members and household members, are not eligible.

A valid Instagram account is required. Void where prohibited by law.

3. how to enter

During the Contest Period, follow @maritimesummers on Instagram and tag at least two different friends in the comments on the official giveaway post.

Each different friend tagged earns one entry. Entrants may tag multiple friends in one comment or across separate comments. There is no limit on the number of entries earned by tagging different friends.

A minimum of two different friends must be tagged to qualify. Once this requirement is met, both initial tags count as entries, along with each additional eligible tag.

Each friend counts only once per entrant throughout the contest. Repeated tags of the same account do not earn additional entries. Self-tags, celebrity accounts, business accounts, fake accounts and automated tags do not qualify. Multiple accounts may not be used to earn duplicate entries.

Tag friends in the comments only. Entrants must still follow @maritimesummers when eligibility is verified.

4. optional bonus entries

Entrants who complete the entry requirements may earn:

• One additional entry by sharing the giveaway post to their Instagram Story, tagging @maritimesummers and including “#contestentry.” The share must be verifiable. If the share is not visible to the Organizer, including because the entrant’s account is private, the entrant must send a screenshot by Instagram direct message before the Story expires and before the Contest Period ends.

• One additional entry by posting a separate comment on the giveaway post sharing an original, personal memory of summer in the Maritimes.

Limit one Story-share bonus entry and one memory-comment bonus entry per person. Additional Story shares or memory comments do not earn further bonus entries.

Memory comments are not judged on quality. Every eligible entry has equal weight in the random draw.

5. prize

There is one prize bundle available, consisting of:

• One MARITIMER sweater;
• One sailboat Skipper hat; and
• One lobster tartan tote.

Total approximate retail value: $250 CAD, excluding shipping.

The winner may select the sweater’s size and colour and the hat’s colour from the options available when the prize is confirmed. Only one sweater, one hat and one tote are included. The two hats shown in the promotional image illustrate colour options.

The prize is not transferable, redeemable for cash or exchangeable for store credit. If a prize item becomes unavailable, the Organizer may substitute an item of equal or greater retail value.

6. tote availability and shipping

The tote is expected to arrive with the Organizer in mid-to-late November 2026. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date.

The sweater and hat will be dispatched within 10 business days after the winner is confirmed and provides their shipping details and selections. The tote will be dispatched separately within 10 business days of becoming available.

The Organizer will cover standard shipping of all prize items to the winner’s Canadian address. If the tote is delayed beyond November 30, 2026, the Organizer will notify the winner and offer the choice of waiting for the tote or receiving an available substitute of equal or greater retail value.

7. random draw, announcement and odds

A random draw will take place in Toronto, Ontario, on November 2, 2026, from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period.

The winner announcement is scheduled for November 5, 2026, subject to completing eligibility verification, the skill-testing question and prize acceptance. If confirmation is not completed in time, the announcement will take place after a winner is confirmed.

The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received and the number of valid entries earned by the entrant.

8. winner notification and confirmation

The selected entrant will be contacted by Instagram direct message from @maritimesummers and must respond within 72 hours.

To be confirmed as the winner, the selected entrant must:

• Meet the eligibility and entry requirements;
• Correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance; and
• Provide the contact and Canadian shipping information needed to deliver the prize.

If the selected entrant does not respond within 72 hours, answers the question incorrectly, is ineligible or declines the prize, another entrant will be selected by random draw using the same process.

No payment or credit card information is required to claim the prize.

9. entry validity

Entries must be received during the Contest Period. Automated, fraudulent, duplicate or otherwise non-compliant entries are void. Separate eligible tags of different friends are not considered duplicate entries.

Comments containing harassment, hate speech, unlawful material or another person’s private information are not eligible.

The Organizer is not responsible for entries or Story shares that cannot be verified because they are deleted, unavailable or not submitted with the required screenshot.

10. privacy and content

Personal information will be used to administer the contest, verify eligibility, contact the selected entrant and deliver the prize, in accordance with the Organizer’s privacy policy at Privacy Policy.

Entering does not subscribe entrants to marketing emails.

The confirmed winner’s Instagram handle may be published to announce the result. Entrants retain ownership of their memory comments. Separate permission will be requested before using those memories in other marketing materials.

11. instagram release

This contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram.

By entering, each entrant releases Instagram from liability arising from participation in the contest, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Information supplied to administer the contest is provided to the Organizer, not Instagram.

12. general conditions

If fraud, a technical failure or another event beyond the Organizer’s reasonable control materially affects the fair operation of the contest, the Organizer may suspend, modify or cancel it, subject to applicable law. Any material change will be announced on the giveaway post and this rules page.

Nothing in these rules limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
